Magpie Educational Policies

We offer online Continuing Education Courses for Social Workers, Counselors, and other mental health practitioners. As demand grows in a particular subject, we will also offer in-person CE trainings and personnel training. All CE courses are consistent with ASWB policy and ethics.

All primary educational materials are the property of The Magpie Therapist and offer original content. External materials are used with permission and references to access the materials are provided in each individual course.

Free content allows you to explore if The Magpie’s teaching style is a good fit for you, while providing good, clinical information. Paid courses allow you access to all currently available CE courses as your interest dictates- each course requires a quiz and a completed evaluation prior to offering a CE Certificate.

The Magpie Therapist requires all learners- whether accessing free or paid content- to sign up for a membership; this maintains your information on a private platform and allows you to interact with the material.

The membership platform allows you access to all currently available CE content. Each course is priced based on the number of CE hours earned. If you pay for a course, it will remain available to you indefinitely. Refunds are available ONLY on incomplete courses by emailing andrea@themagpietherapist.com.

Each CE has an opportunity to complete an evaluation form and voice your concerns. If the nature of your complaint or dispute is outside of a course, please email andrea@themagpietherapist.com. All concerns will be reviewed and addressed.

Participant attendance is taken for enrolled, PAID content only. Attendance is taken by received, completed course evaluations at the end of each CE Course. Course evaluations cannot be accessed until the course has been completed.

Paid courses allow you access to all currently available CE courses as your interest dictates. Each course requires a quiz and a completed evaluation prior to offering a CE Certificate. ONLY courses on the PAID tier offer certificates.

All completed CE Courses require a completed quiz and program evaluation for prior to receiving a certificate. Completed program evaluations will serve as proof of attendance. Copies of these forms will be maintained in virtual storage through The Magpie Therapist website for a minimum of 5 years.

Program evaluation is required for all PAID content, prior to receiving a CE certificate. The program evaluation also serves as record of attendance. All program evaluations will be reviewed by CEO or staff of The Magpie Therapist and will be used to modify and improve course content and future programs.
